We Arrived!!!

We're in San Diego CA.....In our hotel room....safe and sound.   We arrived at 10:45 Pacific time.  We had to wait just about a half hour as the room was being cleaned but we used the time to get the car parked and some of the luggage situated for the cart....

We had a great trip today, we left "el centro" at 8:45 this morning....  passing huge farms and the Vallecito mountains ahead...the first road sign we seen  said we have 106 miles to go.  Going through the mountains was like driving thru a big rock pile...  Just big old hills of whitish and beige rock.  

We had to go through another border inspection, this one had quite a bit of activity as they had one car pulled over and was bringing a dog over.....they were really checking it out.  We were waved on through with no delay......

The anticipation begin to build as we got closer

And so did the traffic

 I had my eyes shut by the time we got into the heavy traffic.........

We thought we had missed our exit at one point but figured out we were right after all, then surprise - we finally seen our street and our hotel........

We parked and registered and the car is all tucked in it's little garage.....  got a cart and a bellman to help us unload and get ALL the luggage up the room... whew!   It's SO good to be here........  

Will go down for dinner later but right now we're just chillin'
