Yesterday, March 13th was a very rocky day at sea... the weather was windy and even had a bit of coolness to it even tho the temperatures were probably in the high 70‘s. Though it was not “rough” according to sailing standards or experienced cruiser’s, It was difficult to walk down the hallway without being moved from one side to the other.....
We were invited to attend an Indonesian luncheon, it was very nice, we were served pork & beef medallions & a chicken leg along with fried rice & vegetables and a little banana fritter..... We had to excuse ourselves and leave early because we had scheduled massages at 1:00... Oh, they were wonderful! Last night was another formal night which meant getting all gussied up again... There were great choices on the menu, a filet being one of them... Jim had that but I chose a “pene pasta” dish with tomato & basil and it was very, very good....
According to the ship, today is Tuesday March 15th.....??? That’s because today we cross the International Date Line. In theory we have lost March 14th. I am totally confused! They tell us that we will make this up again on March 17th A. and March 17th B. For someone who is totally not “sea wise”, I think they’ve all lost their friggin minds! However; all of the ship’s correspondence has Tuesday March 15th written on it and it seems they all take it very seriously...... My poor old brain is confused enough so I’m sure with this I will never be the same.
Today whatever day it is, is another full day.... We have our first cooking class at 11:00, then at 2:00 we have another meeting with the group for our donations to Fanning Island and at 3:00 is our 2nd wine tasting.... We may not make the wine tasting but we can reschedule it if necessary....
Hopefully this afternoon I can find some time to visit with the internet director to see what I can do about adding more space for pictures...... It is 78 deg. this morning and the humidity is much higher than it has been... I am actually going without sleeves this morning...... bare arms?....OMG! I feel sorry for the other passengers that will be subjected to them.... While yesterday was a rough day, the sea is beautiful today.
At dinner tonight the server presented me with a "gift". He works with paper and made this little swan and set it on top of on orchid for me to take back to the room.
Greeting us as our bedtime surprise was a towel monkey hanging from the curtain

I think it's pretty damn great to skip Monday no matter how you look at it!!! And you'll celebrate St. Patrick's Day twice! Crazy
